Eduardo Morgan Jr. is a Senior Partner at Morgan & Morgan and COB of the Board of Directors of the firm with over 50 years of experience in business, corporate and international law.

In the public sector, Mr. Morgan Jr. was Ministry of the Interior and Justice in 1968, and a personal envoy of the President to the government of Japan from 1979 to 1982. He was also Ambassador of the Republic of Panama in Washington D.C., United States of America, from 1996 to 1998.

At present, he is Chairman of the Conflict Resolution Center for the Americas and the Caribbean, a member of the Board of Directors of the Panama-Israel Institute of Culture and Chairman of the Panama-Argentina Friends Association.

Mr. Morgan Jr. graduated Suma Cum Laude in Law and Political Science from the University of Panama (1961) and had a Master in Law from the renowned Law School of Yale University in the United States of America (1969).

In 2008, Mr.  Morgan Jr. was recognized by the International Lawyers Association of Panama for his work in the field of law and permanent contributions to the development and defense of Panama as banking and international services center namely, the Colon Free Zone, the Ship Registry, and the Corporations Law, among others. He was also honored by The National Bar Association of Panama with the Meritorious Medal “Justo Arosemena” in recognition for his 25 years of outstanding performance in the practice of law. In 2016, Mr. Morgan was honored with the “Dr. Eloy Benedetti” medal by the Curatorium of the Dean’s Office of the School of Law and Political Science of the University of Panama for a successful public service career, as well as his continued defense of Panama as an international services platform.  In addition, he’s been recognized in the last years by the international publication “Chambers Global” as an important player General Law.

Mr. Morgan Jr. is the autor of “Los Recursos Contenciosos-Administrativos de Nulidad y de Plena Jurisdicción en el Derecho Panameño”, 1961; 2nd Edition, 1982; “The Panama Canal, Benefit and Control. A Policy Oriented Approach”, 1969; “The Future Sea Level Canal”, 198; and “Memories of an Embassy”, 2nd Edition, 1999.

Eduardo Morgan Jr. is admitted to practice law in the Republic of Panama.
